Cooooeeee

*echo* *echo*

Ok so I haven't died, in case you were wondering. I'm been drowning in essays/assignments and tonight I'm just coming up for a breather before delving into my 5th essay in 3 weeks. Today I handed in an essay that was 1000 words short of the word count, whoops, let's hope they don't notice that one. My problem is that I'm running out of words. My brain can only generate so much intelligent thought per day, and all these assignments are sucking it all up, and I got halfway through my essay and thought "nope that that's it, there's nothing left" so I gave up. This is unlike me, I'm usually a perfectionist, but I'm so tired at the moment that I have ceased caring, I just want to pass and get the hell away from uni and run away as fast as I can.

Anyway, I've been thinking about this quilt I want to make for my best friend's bubba (which I'm SO freaking excited about) and if I'm actually ever going to get it done. I have a number of problems to face first though:

1. I don't own a sewing machine.
2. I don't know how to sew, machine or hand.
3. I can't decide what fabric to use, I'm super duper in love with the simple, clean, organic look of fabric by Hollabee and Lara Cameron, but my friend would probably look at me strangely and say "this is for a baby?", she doesn't get craft, bless her.
4. Oh and really, I only have 6 weeks to make it. Impossible really. Because as soon as I go back to uni I'll be all frantic again and forget all about it.

So considering all these obstacles, am I getting totally in over my head? Most likely, but then again, if a baby isn't going to motivate me what will? Anyway, that's all the words I can string together tonight. Although I will mention that my lil guerilla art project has been a bit lax, however I will be starting it up again soon, inspired by this which was mentioned by Pip.

Keep your eyes peeled if you live around Hawthorn ;) Not that I'd do anything illegal, no, not me...

Oh the crazy peak uni assignment time, how I know thee too well.. Aargh, I will be VERY happy when this semester is over, as you can probably relate to... Sounds like your lecturers are as cruel as mine with the billions of essays! How did your highlighting go? lol...

If only there was some way to get my sewing machine out from under the pile of material on my sewing desk and will it your way to help with your quilt... lol...

PS - Sick of my comments yet? I haven't been reading blogs in a while so I've just backread a little... lol
